What do men wear under their kilt?Now of course I can't talk for all Scotsmen, but I can give you my personal answer to the most widely asked question regarding the
kilt. And the simple answer is that it is tradition amongst most Scotsmen. This tradition is thought to have it's origins in the Scottish military, and this is most probably where the terms "going regimental" and "going commando" stem from. Another reason is that it gives a sense of freedom, and this sense of freedom cannot be equaled by any other form of dress. Do women find men in kilts attractive? you can bet your life they do. And has this attraction anything to do with Scotsmen possibly being naked underneath? you tell me! Many people come to this website actually looking for evidence of what's worn under the kilt, or to be more specific looking for pictures of what's worn under it. But this is a family website which is occasionally visited by children, and so for that reason such pictures are not widely available on this site. However just to make sure there is absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind as to what is under the kilt, the link takes you to a second page also dealing with this subject, and it does in fact have the photographic evidence to end all speculation. I have read recently that some kilt rental stores are now insisting that their customers wear underwear while wearing their rented kilts, supposedly for hygiene reasons. I don't know how they would hope to enforce this new rule, and I can't see it catching on, especially not in Scotland.
