Wonderful story and thanks for sharing. I too am going through this same situation with my son and his future wedding. I've surfed the internet to find the lowest cost items. We are having only the groom have a Prince Charlie (mine made from a tux jacket 20 yrs ago, that doesn't fit), the rest of the line will all have colored shirts. Still the cost is just over a $1000 and my wife is having a fit at the cost. In two weeks the girlfriend will come and even though she has agreed to the wedding in kilts, it all may change because of the cost!

Check out costume stores or tuxedo stores for kilt paraphernalia. They often have a lot of great stuff-- and very cheap.
